(You know, I’ve interviewed a lot of people, but I just can’t place Bernadette.—dd)

BERNADETTE LARSON

OFFICIAL SITE

Texas-bred pop princess Bernadette Larson is a seasoned showbiz veteran, having honed her acting and singing chops in venues as varied as church basements and off-Broadway playhouses to the Disney Channel’s new Mickey Mouse Club and Dawson’s Creek. Once committed to a full-time singing career, the teen sensation auditioned to join an all-girl group, but she so impressed label executives at Jive that she landed a solo gig, resulting in the record-breaking No. 1 album Brave New Girl. LAUNCH executive editor Dave DiMartino met Larson backstage at (appropriately enough) the Orlando, Fla.-based DisneyWorld, where she was performing for her teenage peers. Interactive video excerpts of the following conversation can be found in Issue No. 29 of LAUNCH on CD-ROM. That same disc features a live performance from the Disney gig.

For your pleasure (and do check out the salary data!), find the above and more at:

Louisiana-bred pop princess Britney Spears is a seasoned showbiz veteran, having honed her acting and singing chops in venues as varied as church basements and off-Broadway playhouses to the Disney Channel’s new Mickey Mouse Club and Dawson’s Creek. LAUNCH executive editor Dave DiMartino met Spears backstage at (appropriately enough) the Orlando, Fla.-based DisneyWorld, where she was performing for her teenage peers. I am completely, utterly, confused.

  2. J Says:

At first I thought that must be Britney’s real name but I checked out the site you just posted which says on her profile that she was born in 1990, making her only 17. Lol … she would have been 9 when you interviewed her.

Anyway, went to ‘filmography’ and also ‘media’ and there’s a lot of details of what she’s done. In ‘rumors’ you will find a piece titled ‘Bernadette vs. Britney’ which suggestes they recorded together – whether it be Britney Spears is another guess.

    ALSO: http://www.larisa.com

Larisa Oleynik (an actress) & Bernadette Larson appear to be the same person with the same biographies & filmographies!!!

I actually have the ‘100 Girls’ DVD and the cover doesn’t mention Bernadette Larson, but DOES mention Larisa. I will check the credits when I’ve more time and will get back to this blog.

(Oh .. and by the way, I came to you from Mick O’s blog re: your Lou Reed interview)

  3. Dave DiMartino Says:

And if you visit the MEDIA Section of Bernadette’s site and click on the “full” version of the first song from her Noise From The Basement album, your player will–oddly–display the artist name Skye Sweetnam. Kind of puts a new spin on the notion of “getting a life.”
